Our Story
Grid Tech Vault Wave was born in a tiny rented room in Tokyo's Setagaya ward, where our founder, Haruka, spent her evenings hand-stitching samples after long days working at a fashion house. She had always loved lace lingerie, but she was frustrated by what she found in stores: beautiful pieces that were uncomfortable, or comfortable pieces that were painfully boring. She believed there had to be a way to combine the two—to create elegant lingerie that felt like a hug and looked like a work of art. With nothing more than a sewing machine, a bolt of Italian lace, and a stubborn dream, she began experimenting. Her first collection consisted of just five pieces, which she sold to friends and local boutique owners out of a woven basket at a weekend market.
Word of Haruka's creations spread quickly through Tokyo's close-knit fashion community. Local stylists started recommending her lace bras to their clients, and soon, small orders began arriving from Osaka and Nagoya. By the end of her first year, Haruka had saved enough to rent a small studio and hire two seamstresses who shared her passion for quality womens underwear. Together, they refined every pattern, tested every fabric, and developed the signature fit that would become Grid Tech Vault Wave's hallmark. They named the brand after the cherry blossom—sakura—because they admired how the flower blooms boldly yet briefly, reminding us all to embrace beauty in the present moment.
As the brand grew, so did our commitment to ethical production. We moved to a larger workshop in Ginza, but we refused to compromise on our handmade approach. Today, every piece of luxury lingerie that bears our label is still crafted in Japan, by artisans who have been with us for years. We source our materials from family-owned mills in Europe and Japan, and we maintain close relationships with every supplier to ensure fair wages and responsible practices. Our journey hasn't always been smooth—there were seasons when we struggled to keep up with demand, and moments when we questioned whether we could stay true to our vision. But every time we receive a letter from a customer saying our sexy lingerie made her feel beautiful for the first time in years, we remember exactly why we started.
Today, Grid Tech Vault Wave is more than a brand—it's a community of women who value authenticity, comfort, and timeless style. We've expanded our range to include over 50 styles, from delicate lace panties to full-coverage lingerie sets, and we now ship to customers in more than 30 countries. Yet in many ways, nothing has changed. We still begin every design with a hand-drawn sketch. We still test every prototype on real women of different shapes and sizes.
